Leiden University, located in the city of Leiden, is the oldest university in the Netherlands.
The University of Leiden was founded in 1575 and currently has enrollment exceeding 15,000 students. It is a fully accredited, autonomous, government-financed university. The Law Faculty is one of eight faculties that comprise the university. The Leiden University School of Law is the largest law school in The Netherlands, with approximately 5,000 law students enrolled in the various undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate programs offered by the law school. The full-time teaching staff of the faculty numbers over 300.
